Where are my notes saved?

Free notes are saved locally in your browser (no login required). Premium users can enable optional cloud sync to access notes across devices.

Can I access my notes from another device?

Free notes stay on your device for maximum privacy. Premium users get cloud sync to access notes on any device with real-time collaboration features.

Do you collect any personal data?

No. NotepadOne is privacy-first. We don't track, analyze, or save anything you write.

How do I save my notes?

Your notes are automatically saved as you type! There's no save button needed. NotepadOne uses your browser's localStorage to instantly save every change you make.

Do I need to create an account?

No login required for free local notes! Just visit and start writing instantly. Optional account available for Premium users who want cloud sync and collaboration.

What happens if I clear my browser data?

Free local notes will be permanently deleted if you clear your browser data. Premium users with cloud sync can recover their notes by logging in again. We recommend exporting important notes as backup.

Does NotepadOne work offline?

Yes! Once NotepadOne loads in your browser, it works completely offline. You can write and edit notes without an internet connection. Your notes will still be saved locally.

Yes! NotepadOne includes a rich text editor that supports bold, italic, lists, headings, and other formatting options to make your notes more organized and readable.

Yes! Free users can create 1 shared note with full features including password protection and public links. Premium users get unlimited shared notes. You can set view-only or edit permissions for each shared note.

Does NotepadOne support real-time collaboration?

Yes! Premium users can collaborate in real-time with live cursors, instant sync, and automatic conflict resolution. Free users can create 1 collaborative note or accept unlimited collaboration invites from Premium users.

What's the difference between sharing and collaboration?

Sharing means giving others access to view or edit a note via public link or password-protected link. Collaboration includes real-time editing features like live cursors and instant sync when multiple people edit simultaneously. Both are available - Free users get 1 shared/collaborative note, Premium gets unlimited.
